IN HONOUR OF THE ROYAL WEDDING 1

Given that it's the Royal Wedding this week, Read Raw are having a special Royal Wedding night of readings on Thursday night , for which I'll be writing something especially for the occasion, but I thought I would dust some of my previous Royal Family-inspired works, and post them every day this week, so here's a poem that appeared in "Suspended in the Dreamtime" and also the late, lamented "Nasty Piece of Work." I should point out that it was written and published years before the Queen Mum hit the 100 mark, but at the time of writing I thought if she didn't live that long there would still be celebrations anyway.
