Lindsey Buckingham Guitar Hero

It's been a great year for concerts - Metallica, David Byrne, ACDC, Bruce Springsteen, U2, 28 concerts in three days at Download, and some Celtic Connections "stuff", but last week might have been the concert of the year, and who would have expected it to be Fleetwood Mac. Linda and I caught them last Thursday at the SECC in Glasgow, and we weren't sure what to expect. Was this the pension tour? It was a sell-out, probably taking in £1m in ticket sales and merchandising from that gig alone, but Linda had said that before they split up they all had separate managers and arrived in separate limos, so were they going to be great, or awful?

They were actually brilliant, no support, just them for two and a half hours, playing a lot of "Rumours", a little bit of "Tusk" and some older Mac. Lindsey Buckingham was magnificant, especially on "Big Love" all by himself, and with Stevie Nicks on "Never Going Back Again". Can't wait for the DVD, and the set list went something like: Monday Morning, The Chain, Dreams, I Know I'm Not Wrong, Gypsy, Go Insane,
Rhiannon, Second Hand News, Tusk, Sara, Big Love, Landslide, Never Going Back Again, Storms, Say You Love Me, Gold Dust Woman, Oh Well, I'm So Afraid, Stand Back, Go Your Own Way, World Turning, Drum Solo, Don't Stop.
